The Subway WD-800 Lightweight Hybrid bass head from Mesa/Boogie is a response to the longstanding demand for a more powerful version of the WalkAbout bass head. This head combines the warm, soulful magic of the WalkAbout tube preamp section with the musical Class D output power used in the Subway line to create the ultimate lightweight hybrid. That original fat, round WalkAbout tone is joined by comprehensive rotary shelving controls and a semi-parametric EQ, providing total shaping authority. The WD-800 also features a Highpass Filter and a Power Amp Dampening control for tuning of the sub-low frequencies and power response options respectively.

Whether you´re looking for a lightweight main rig to replace a heavy linear amp with a bigger, wider sound or you´re just on the hunt for a compact, portable head for everyday gigging, the WD-800 covers both with power and versatility.
